Seabrook Christian School
Christian Education is designed to bring honour to, and encourage faith in, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christian School education is therefore totally Christian in purpose. A true education must be focused on the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone gives meaning and purpose to life.
The school is an extension of the home and the church built on a Bible-based conviction that all children need to be given an education that is God-centred and Bible-based, if their education is to be complete. Subjects are taught from a biblical, God-centred perspective in a Christian atmosphere to give students a “Christian World View,” while also incorporating our Australian cultural heritage and addressing relevant current issues.
A Christian education is designed to teach a child to think, to understand himself, his society and environment, and to benefit from that understanding. A Christian education teaches the child to make wise decisions, to implement them and to be educated as future leaders and citizens.
Seabrook Christian School is committed to carrying out the commission given by the Lord; that is, to train the children in their care by providing an environment whereby the principles of God's Word form the foundation for the child's education.
Each child at the school becomes part of the community of young people endeavouring to achieve maturity in all areas of life: spiritually, academically, socially and physically(Luke 2:52). The student is taught the Sovereignty of God that, as Creator, He is the source of all truth, knowledge and wisdom. In addition, daily devotions, study of the scriptures and chapel service, help in the spiritual nurturing of the children. This is reinforced by the example of Christian living by the staff.
Because the whole life of the School is God-centred, it provides a challenging alternative to the immoral, humanistic, permissiveness of secular education. Parents may be confident that the Christian beliefs, morals and values of the home will be reinforced in the school. A strong foundation is being laid for a life of Christian living and service.
It is our aim that the children of our school will be equipped to make a valuable contribution to the church, the family, and the community.
